High Point Market is known as the world’s largest furnishings industry trade show, bringing in roughly 75,000 attendees for each event. There is never a dull moment for eventgoers, as the show features 180 buildings and over 2,000 exhibitors - all with something unique to showcase.

The show had its first event in 1909 and was originally called the Southern Furniture Market. Over the years, the market expanded and other informal markets grew in size as well. Eventually, the market was called the International Home Furnishings Market, and then in 2006, the market got its current name: The High Point Market.

High Point Market takes place in High Point, North Carolina, and is held twice a year - in April (spring) and October (fall).

Yes, the event is still on this year! While the spring event had an adjusted schedule, the fall season’s show will have regular programming with a full schedule of activities and various tours.

Visitors can expect stringent health and safety precautions to be taken as a result of COVID-19. The venues will be thoroughly cleaned, high-touch points will be disinfected, and any catering or food service will adhere to safety protocols in accordance with guidelines from the CDC. 

As of August 13, 2021, Guilford County passed an indoor mask mandate for residents and businesses, so make sure to have a mask with you when you check-in.
